How To Add Business Employees?
Managing who can access what in your business is essential for maintaining security and efficiency. In Docyt, you can easily assign roles and access permissions to employees. Whether you're setting up a new user or adjusting access levels, follow the steps below to configure user access accurately.
Step-by-Step Guide to Setting Up Employee Access
Step 1: Click on Business Module >General Settings
From the menu in General Settings, click on ‘Business Employees’.
Step 2: Open Business Employees
This will show a list of all employees associated with your business.
Click on the “Add” icon to add the name of the employee/admin in the second panel.
Step 3: Select the Employee
Type the name of the employee whose access you want to configure.
Once the name appears in the box, choose to open the permissions
Step 4: Choose a Role
Under the Role drop-down menu, choose one of the following:
Business Admin – Full access, including user management.
Employee – Limited access, depending on module permissions assigned.
Note: If the selected role is Business Admin, the User Management field is automatically set to Active, allowing full access to the Settings menu. If the role is Employee, you can choose between:
Active – Grants access to Settings and user management.
Not Active – Hides the Settings menu and blocks access to user permissions.
Step 5: Assign Module Permissions
Scroll down to the Module Access section.
Use the drop-down menus next to each module to grant or restrict access per employee.
Choose from options like View, Edit, or No Access based on the employee’s responsibilities.
Inviting a New Business Admin
You can invite a user as a Business Admin through the same process.
Important Reminder: If the invited user does not accept the invitation within 24 hours, they will receive an “Invitation has expired. Request another invitation.” error. To resolve this:
Go back to the Business Employees section.
Resend the invitation to the user.
